Networking event energetic aperitivo at Arcadis

18.02.2025

The networking event “energetic aperitivo”  took place on February 18, 2025. Under the title “Case Study: Mobility Oriented Development & The New Mobility Hub Elbinseln in Hamburg”, this time Arcadis invited around 30 students from the TU Campus EUREF. Paul Linkner, Sales Director Mobility, welcomed the talents,  presented Arcadis’ extensive portfolio and introduced the topic of the evening.

Improving mobility in times of increasing urbanization

The Master’s programs at the EUREF Talent Campus, which includes the TU Campus EUREF, are strongly geared towards practice and are interdisciplinary in nature. The students find solutions for the most pressing challenges of our time, such as better and more climate-friendly mobility in the face of the worldwide increasing urbanization. The talk by Celine Krstulovic, Head of New Mobility at Arcadis, gave the students an insight into the preparation of a construction project that aims to improve the quality of life of local residents. At the beginning of the project, Arcadis was commissioned with a comprehensive analysis of the initial situation, the assessment of potential and the derivation of recommendations. The Elbe Islands Mobility Hub project in Hamburg aims to convert the Veddel S-Bahn station and its surroundings into a modern, sustainable mobility center. The new “hub” will not only be a transport hub for e-buses, car sharing and other sustainable forms of mobility, but will also create an attractive sub-center with a high quality of stay. It will be a place where commuters, residents and tourists can be mobile, shop, work and meet each other.

Making contacts

The TU students were impressed by Arcadis and the case study presented. There were numerous detailed questions and a lively professional exchange during the subsequent networking. Events like this offer students exciting impulses and enable companies to make contact with potential specialists and managers – a decisive advantage in times of a shortage of skilled workers. Two of the students, Akhilesh Krishnan and Mathilda Legault-Dignard, also took the opportunity to introduce themselves and reveal why their life path led them to the EUREF-Campus and what goals they are pursuing. We wish them continued success!
